Simple Dahi Chicken Recipe

Hello friends, today I am going to share the recipe for DAHI MASALA CHICKEN. It's been cooked using basic Indian Spices. I have also attached the link to my YouTube Channel below so that you can get a visual idea about the preparation.





Ingredients required-


  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 100-200 gm Dahi (Plain Curd)
  • 2 tbsp cumin powder 
  • 2 tbsp turmeric powder 
  • 2 tbsp Coriander powder 
  • 2 tbsp red chilly powder 
  • 1tbsp black pepper 
  • 2 large tbsp ginger and garlic paste 
  • Salt as per taste 
  • 2 tomatoes 
  • 3 green chilly 
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • 3 cardamom 
  • Cinnamon 
  • Coriander leaves 
  • Half tsp Garam Masala
  • 5 tbsp Oil






Method for preparation-

  • For marination we will take the Chicken in a bowl and add the curd to it. After that we will add all the spices into it and mix it well for 5 minutes. Once all the spices and curd are mixed well with the chicken, marinate the chicken for 1 hour
  • Take the oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cardamom and cinnamon into it.
  • After 2 minutes add the chopped onions into it and stir till it turns golden brown.
  • Add the ginger and garlic paste and mix for 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes into it and mix it.
  • Add the marinated chicken into the pan and stir for 5 minutes.
  • Cover the pan for 5 minutes.
  • Uncover the pan and stir it well for 2 minutes 
  • Cover the pan again for 3 minutes 
  • Uncover the pan and add green chilly 
  • Add 1 cup water and half tbsp garam masala, coriander leaves into it.
